I have a 1973 nova...I'm having problems with my brake,dash and turn signal lights!! I've checked the fuse box...sometimes it has power to the fuses and some times it doesnt...The flasher plug in the fuse box has no power to it....this is driving me crazy...if this sounds familiar to anyone....please let me know what u did to fix it!!??? thanks!!! Just got thru refreshing the engine and I'm ready to ride...thats the only thing stopping me!!!! You can also email me at [email protected]

Well,
It sounds like a ground problem. A loose connection somewhere. Finding it may take a considerable amount of time, but you'll check out all of your grounds to ensure they are tight and clean. A little rust is all it takes sometimes.

Two Things To Check On Your Car Are The Power Insulated Block On Inside Of Radiator Support Just To The Left Of Battery They Flasher In Fuse Block Is For The 4-way Flashers There Is Another One Around The Radio ,ash Tray In The Dash For The Turn Signals Or The Way Mine Is.

First welcome to the site:waving:

Sounds like the ground at the flasher under the radio or the instrument cluster doesn't have a good ground.
Also you said your engine is fresh.It's a good idea to install the braided ground straps from the body to the engine.Your ignition and electric choke will like that.:thumbsup: The ground from the block to the neg post of the battery isn't enough.:(

The 4 way flasher in the fuse block will have power when the 4 ways are on.

Does the headlights,dome light,heater blower work?
How about the back up lights?
