Noticed you narrowed your gas tank (two welded seams. why not cut off everything from one side? Or am I seeing things?

No Dave, your eyes don't deceive you, tank is sliced and welded in 2 spots.

Recall the Hurst Hemi Darts back in the day ??? .... guy who did their in-house work owns chassis shop ... that's his recommend on frame, mini-tubs, tank and in-board's, all his work .... trimming both sides still uses stock hangers in stock location and weight still centered and if I recall, something about in-tank FI fuel pump is recommended to stay centered

......... wish I had his talents and patience.

Ya' ever get that thought ... ' When the heck am I gonna get this thing done ' ... how is it those guys on T-V get it done in one episode and it takes me forever :)

Slow but sure, looks good..
Thanks '62 .... seems to be a forever project ... funny part, this was a Driver when I bought it, then I decided to change this, then do that ... which evolved into, Well heck, if I'm that far, I might as well do --- and the list just kept getting longer.

Couple years ago I found a L-79 in a barn in Jersey ... I did think I was lucky to find it, now I'm thinkin' it might be a curse, I could be Toes-Up before that one gets restored :)

....... I attach pics of the Barn Find .... what a joy, drag it from barn to trailer with backhoe with 3 wheels locked-up, then try to get it straight on my trailer

The snow tires tell part of the story.:)

Cost me $2,500 for those Snow Tires Novage, the rest of the car was free:D

Car sat in barn somewhere around 25 years, guess the tire were what was on it when he shoved it in barn. Someone was apparently running it at Englishtown, found couple papers in car from there.

Man, you got a smokin deal on the car.:thumbsup: Hate to tell ya this though, but you got ripped on the tires..:yes:l:):D

Aw' come on 62, they were a steal ... lil' bit of tire dressing and they'll be good as ... well, can't think what they might be good as or even good for:D

......... maybe I should save them for a Before & After pic or change them out at a show to get folks scratchin' their heads. You know one of those ... ' Hey, look what that dope did to his Duece, put all that work in it and put snow tires on it '.

I have a friend who has a # match Hemi '69 GTX in mint condition ... recall the days of those ' Chain-On Bumper Hitches ' .... he found one, bumper w/ hitch and every now and then he swaps out the bumper and hooks up his dirt bike trailer, takes it to a show just to agitate, you would be amazed at the crap comments that come his way, it's a laugh.
