Having trouble decoding tag.

Ok so I have a 70 SS nova. I have been looking all over and can't understand what this is. In my VIN the Letter for the assembly plate is E. This is where it gets weird, it should have a N, O, or a W. What does the E stand for? Thanks Dan.
