Do you smoke? Not that it is my business or anything but if you smoke in the car it can cause an oily film to develope on the inside of the glass. And the more you smoke in the car the faster it developes.....BUT I am not saying that this is for a fact causing it just that smoking in a car can cause such a film.:)
nope! i dont smoke but the lady that ownned the car before me smikod like a chimney:sad:

Hmmmm...well then it isnt likely caused by smoking...is their a lot of industrial type business in your area that could be putting something into the air???
IF its a vinyl interior it good be caused by the degasing of the material in the car
yeah its a vinyl interior! but i need to be enlightened more about degasing!!!
i can clean it really good and if i leave the windows down it dont do it ..but i roll up the windows and the next day they are greasey????
Vinyl like all plastics is made from petroleum by products. The newer the interior the more it will degas in the heat. I really can't tell you how to stop it. It will decrease over time.

Terry,
The other thing that will do it is a leaking heater core. Do you smell any antifreeze odor ? Also, have you recently cleaned the interior and used a protectant like Armor All ? Armor All and others like it will make a terrrible film for quite a while, especially if you really layed it on.
Hope this helps,
i bought the car last year and the people had it detailed before i bought it!
i didnt even think about the armor all ? the heater is disconnected no hoses hooked up! i bet it is the cleaning stuff! i will have to try and degrease it;)
thanks.

Shoot didn't even think of the Armor All (or other products like it) either...ya that stuff will slime up a windsheild really fast if your not carefull applying it or dont clean the glass right after you use
