I flushed the coolant before adding and mixing water with sodium silicate and the upper radiotor hose looked like this while the coolant still looked like a dominant green

It needs to be clean clear water. Antifreeze will not allow it to work…

HOW are you draining the coolant?

If you're not pulling the block drain plug(s), you've got a gallon of coolant trapped in the block that will contaminate your leak-stop waterglass.

Put a hose pipe in upper hose, no thermostat, let it run with the bottom loose. 😒

With out a lower drain on the block the really only other good way to empty all the fluid from the block is to pull it pull the heads and turn it over. But with fresh properly mixed coolant there shouldn’t be any reason to drain it.
