They will fit with modification. In 1973 they went to the big rubber baby bumpers so they had to move the fill tube on the gas tank. So they changed the size of the gas tank when they changed the fill tube location. Which changed the trunk pan and where the trunk pan meets the floor pan. If yours isn't rusted through at that point (usually it rusts through where the water gathers at the lowest point on the pan) then you can cut and trim to make it work.

Retailers hate customer complaints. It is easier to say it won't fit than to tell a customer you are going to have to work at it to make it fit; and if you screw it up it is your's, because we told you up front it wouldn't work. Unfortunately no one likes big bumper cars so that is why every one ends up buying them. You buy one because no one else bought it so it is cheaper than a 1968-'72 that everyone really wants. Everyone else has already bought up all the good examples of the more popular years leaving you with a 1973-'74 car that the aftermarket doesn't support.

You said doors and I was thinking floors for some strange reason.

The door skins interchange but there were changes to the doors themselves for side beam impact and the ventilation (deletion of vent windows). The mirrors were also different in how the attached but that is a minor modification. Door latches also changed as did the locking mechanism which means the inner doors are different over the years but the latches could be upgraded to the newer style and no one but a concours judge would be any the wiser.

Dont make it sound like you have to do alot to make a 68-72 door fit a 73-74 they fit right on and open and shut just like they sould the only diff. Is 73,74 didnt have vent windows. And with that being said its as easy as pulling the pins and changing them i know because i have a yard full of 68-74 novas and ive changed them around to see if they will fit. And the door latches are the same on all of those years.
