Hey everyone, below is my new to me 78 Nova. The previous owner did a ton of sheet metal work to the car and it turned out amazing. It is going to be the perfect candidate for my LS build. Here’s a list of what’s done to the car at the moment.

Chassis;
  • custom tucked front bumper and grill
  • firewall has been shaved and moved back.
-C5 corvette spindles, brakes, and QA1 coil overs with a manual Rack and pinion
  • Full custom frame which ties the front Subframe to the rear.
  • rear 4 link with Qa1 coil overs
  • 69 Nova tail pan and lights
  • 15gal fuel cell with fuel door relocated on the driver side rear of car.

Here’s a few pics of the engine install, still working on my Aluminum TIG weld game. I did pressure test the pipe and no leaks. Just ugly welds. Haha

Awesome!

How did you get the C5 brakes on there? I mean I know you can buy kits to do almost anything but even with the tubular control arms did you stick with the stock geometry? Does somebody make a C-5 spindle that bolts to nova control arms?

I’ll see if I can find it in the stack of paperwork the car came with. Maybe there’s info in there on what the previous owner used to make it work. Fortunately for me it was already completed when I got the car.
