My 72 Nova has been dissasembled for a few years now and need to know about the brackets that are welded to the cowl under the A pllar area. They look like the brackets that screw to the cowl to hold under the windshield. Are the ones that are welded also windshield supports? My body guy thought maybe the upper back side of the fender sat on top of them. Or does the fender sit below them. Any help would be appreciated.
I hope the pic shows up . First time posting pic. This is not my car, but a pic I found that shows the clip. It's a little hard to see but it's about 4 inches to the left of the A pillar near the corner of the fender. This one is is painted red. I think this pic answers my question of how the fender should rest under the clip. Is this a clip that the windshield rests on?
That appears to be the windshield support, may need an additional rubber block to adjust it to the proper install height. The lower trim is held on with clips that screw to the body. The clip also secures the rear of the cowl grill.
