I'm looking for any information or pictures for a 1965 Nova SS with a 283 220 HP Intake Manifold and Carb. I'm very intrested in the showing of the automatic choke hookup. I've been told that the 4 barrel Carb uses a small Choke Heat Pipe that runs for the Exhaust Manifold over the top of the valve cover on the passenger side to the Carb. Looks like this pipe is approx 3/8 In. in size. This same Manifold and Carb setup I beleve was used on all 1965 Chevrolet's with the 220 Hp option L77 engine. The casting number on the Intake is 3866922, I don't know the Rochester Carb number so any info on this would be a great help, also car is factory AC equipped. Thanks

You are right about the heat tube. It was also covered with an asbestos sleeve to keep the risk of burns down. This tube was also used on the 2 bbl. The 4 bbl carb used on some was a WCFB, I think this one was made by Carter, there was another produced by Rochester. It was 4 small barrels of equal size. I have one in a box somewhere. I will try to find it and post a picture.
