You need to find a complete donor set up (or buy used parts piece meal and have them rebuilt as you find them) that way you can swap over to power from the guy who wants a manual and loose his power steering.

no steering box, it's a power cylinder & control valve set up... it gives somewhat a wishy-washy feel to the road at highway speeds. most members/friends i know have removed it and converted to manual. the better conversion is a rack & pinion... but it's more pricey.

I kind of remember now that a buddy years ago had a 66 wagon with power and a hydro cylinder on bottom bar kind of like the ford stlye. If thats it then,i wont go that way. I like the bearing idler idea.:thumbsup:
