Bob, GM didn't factory install 4 ways until around 66 or 67. Prior to that an aftermarket unit was available. It had a big red knob that lit up and flashed when the unit was operating. It could be mounted in the dash or in a mounting plate under the dash. I think I may still have the one I took out of a 64 El Camino, if i can find it I'll post a picture.

this may be a dumb question-but,was a 1963 nova 4 way flashers switch on the stearing column-or on a dash mounted switch???--- im thinking dash unit,but-help--cant remember and cant find info on this--thanks bob hetrick 1963 gasser

THANKS PHILIP?? kinda thinking that,but was not sure--so it did not have them from factory.---- my 62 chevy truck has a signal stat turn signal lever-4 ways built into it--thanks--bob h
