Well, we took the wifes car out to the track this weekend to see what it would do. The wife made me a bet that she could turn a quicker time than I. The bet was on. I am happy?? to say that she won. She ran a 10.66 @ 127mph with a 1.4 60. My best was a 10.78 with a 1.6 60. I only drove it once, she made 7 runs and got quicker on every run. I guess she hasn't lost her touch. She used to drive our old stock eliminator car about half the time when we class raced. My chassis guy told us it was pretty much dialed in when we got the car back from him and boy he wasn't kidding. What a great time this weekend. Hooray, our baby finally runs.

498, The car is a 72 Nova 2 dr. The trans is a th350 with a tci 3500 converter. Rearend gears are 4:56. the engine is a 60 over 400 with 4 bolt main, comp cams xe284 cam, crane gold roller rockers with girdle, Dart 215 cc heads, performer rpm intake with 750 carb, forged pistons with scat crank and rods, windage tray, blueprinted, balanced, fluiddamper balancer, 10.5 compression. Hooker comp headers with ceramic coating. 3" exhaust with Dynomax mufflers. The car has a really nasty sound to it. The engine was built by Madcap racing in Denver. This shop is owned by V. Gaines, the NHRA pro stock racer. We were really pleased, with the way the car ran and handled. Prior to this we had just done a few break in runs at the track.
