Default 350 M20 Bellhousing Help

After reading several post here I'm confused on which bellhousing to look for. I'm restoring a 69 Nova SS 350 M20 12-bolt (mainly stock). I've found two with casting #s 3858403 and 3840383 (10 1/2 clutch). Either of these correct and if not which casting # do I need. Thanks!

Tim

Unless it is going in a museum you need a SFI certified puke can. A nice yellow Lakewood was the most common on an old muscle car because they were the first with the cheapest. There is no reason to risk loosing body parts over concurs points, unless it will never run. Same for the flywheel and pressure plate use a SFI certified set made by your favorite vender (once again in the old days most guys ran a purple Zoom set up because they were the cheapest, those who wanted a better pressure plate chose a nice red Hayes).

I don't think many original cast aluminum bell housing survived the first clutch replacement once they went out of warranty.

As to size SS cars had an 11" clutch set up (all high horse SBC and all BBC engines used the 168 tooth), the smaller 153 tooth 10-1/2" was used on the 250 horse 327's and the 350 that replaced it as the base engine (all 307's were 10.5").
