Yes on the fire wall bell crank; though now would be a good time to change over to a cable pull. NHRA rules state you need two accelerator return springs so a solid rod isn't ideal as it adds weight and resistance that wears out the throttle shaft's brass bushings. Other side of the coin is a rod a is a lot cheaper, unless you can fab a cable attachment for a Holley with the provision of a TV cable for an OD tranny as they cost a minimum of $70 bucks complete. If you can fab up the C shaped bracket to attach it to the base plate studs all you would need tyo buy would be the back part that holds the cables:
I used to cut the "C" mounting bracket out of an old street sign aluminum stock that I picked up in the scrap yard and TIG welded on a ridge on the bottom to keep it from bending.
Aside from getting a flat tire on my trailer every time I went in the yard I used to save a fortune buying lengths of scrap steel tubing, and flat stock as well as bits and pieces of aluminum I would always find there. I would buy it for the same price they paid out in scrap bu dragging in old scrap metal and engine castings and being weighed on the way in and leaving with my choices while being weighed on the way out (paid a different rate for aluminum, but if I had a small enough piece such as a mangled road sign, they would just give it to me).
