There are two different steel wheels (not talking about rally or wheels with round holes or fake five spoke mags). There are innie which are used mostly for Chevrolet passenger cars where the hub cap pops into three raised bumps on the inside of the raised center ring; and outies that pop over three tabs on the out side of the ring. You need to match the hub to the wheel or buy new wheels to match your hub caps.

This applies to poverty hub caps (dog dish) and to ralley wheel center caps. There is a difference between the Corvette wheels and Passenger car wheels (mostly to clear four piston caliper disc brakes, and the trim rings and center caps differ from passenger cars in appearance and how they fit on the wheel. Unfortunately to get an eight inch or ten inch wide wheel you have to use Corvette Rally wheels
