Default 1967 XA Rally wheels. Real or myth?

All over the internet there are references to all the Rally wheel codes Chevrolet ever produced. Most of them are copied and pasted from site to site to site, so their accuracy is questionable.

However, all of them reference the 1967 Chevy II 14x5 DRUM brake Rally wheel. This is the XA code I can't find any information on. Not even in Alan Colvin's CBTN.

Has anyone ever actually SEEN (or better yet, have in their possession) a 1967 XA coded Rally wheel?

Thanks
Ed

Thanks Dave. Since posting my question I've since found out that both the September, 1968 and February, 1969 P&A’s show the XA Rally wheel (P/N 3918077) as 1968 Nova with 14x5 Rally wheels and disc brakes (except 350), and 1968 Chevelle with 14x5 Rally wheels and disc brakes except F70-14.

Also, there were no "Rally Wheels" in '67. At that time they were known as "Disc Brake Wheels" because they were included with the optional front disc brakes (and ONLY disc brakes; no way to get them with drum brakes).

So, mystery solved!

Here is my take on 67 XA and DA Disc brake rims.

The XA rims are not for 4 piston caliper disc brakes. They will work with 69 and

up single piston calipers. The 67 DA disc brake rims are for the factory 4 piston

Disc brakes. The rims are bulged out for the calipers. DA rims are different then

any other factory Rally rim. I have had the XA rims before and sold them as

they would not work for my 67 factory Disc brakes.

I see. Thanks for the helpful bit, Dave! I'll be taking note of these.
