Hey guys I just went by the team camaro site and it had been invaded by someone posting porn ads. Almost every new post on the main page was 1. If any mods on here are on there too, may want to take a look. Kids shouldn't seein that( I know they do anyways but it shouldnt be on our sites)

There is a way to eliminate that. It's in the CPannel for the webpage. They would have to enable the feature that allows the owner or mods to pre approve the post before it goes up. Maybe let someone over there know. I've built a few web pages in my time. We had a simaler problem with one of ours.

Cheers Chevyboy454.

If the site is really busy having to approve every post before it is posted would become a fulltime job. I'm not so sure that many volunteer mods would be willing to to invest that much of their time.

whenever you see something like that, there or over here... in the upper righthand corner of each post is a "whistle" icon. that is a "Bad Post" report link, you click on that icon, a window opens and you may make notation of a bad post (for the proper reasons set forth by the Administration) an E-Mail is then sent to the Admin and whatever Moderators are in charge of that specific forum. it is then acted upon by either deletion or whatever action is deemed appropriate.

hope this helps in the future ;)

The spammers have found a loophole in the forum software that a lot of sites use, us included. They have bots that register and post spam. A lot of discussion is going on with site administrators who are being flooded by these guys.
I've installed a couple of road bumps that should stop/slow them down for awhile.

Please report any that show up here.

Thanks.

They need to develope some type of "re-direct program" once the system detects a bot or a spamming prorogram and can locate the source, anything that comes is is automattically redirected back to thier system 1,000,000 times, and it should be legal. Every server should have that capability. Spamming would soon come to a halt, when they are trying to send out thousands of emails, and a million or more is coming in at the same time. That would jam up there system.
