Default 71 nova headliner

Hello. I just purchased my second Nova. I used to own a 70 coupe in the early 90" almost 30 ago.now I just got a 71. It has no headliner in it. The previous owner just gave me 5 rusty looking rods and a new headliner kit that comes with the 2 sail panels. The sides and the back of the inner roof has these thin sheet metal mounting strips bolted to the roof for the channeled trim to hold the headliner, shouldn't the front of the roof have one of those mounting sheet metal strips bolted to the inner front roof too to secure the front of the head liner? I have google the subject and other front mounting strips appears for other Gm cars like camaros and chevelles but nothing for novas? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think the front roof should be bolted as well. One old guys here have a '71, he'll be back soon for the installation of the shocks from 4Wheelonline onto his Wrangler. I'll ask him about the bolts.
