Beginning the journey! I'm sure I'll be asking questions in here a lot. I just purchased (yesterday) the car of my dreams. To top it off, it will be a father daughter project with my dad. He is a great source of information on his own, and I am incredibly excited to start this new adventure with him.
However, I am having a heck of a time finding replacement struts for the hatchback. I don't need the whole kit, (e.g. hinges/brackets/ and all the hardware for the hatchback) the rest of the hatchback is in pretty good condition, but the gas struts are blown. Easy fix, if I can find them. Any leads on where I could get some. They don't have to be original- just need to fit in the Nova. Thanks! |

Rock Auto doesn't list them so no one is making the part by application. Here is a fix from Steve's Nova Site:

If you are referring to the two spring loaded arms that hold open the hatchback lid, they are not gas struts. They are spring loaded. I may have a set in my basement. text me at 215-450-7877. John
