Thnx Jim, American Wire sent me the wiring diagram for the speedometer which includes a dedicated wire and socket for the high beam so its safe that the slot is for the high beam. All I have to do...

New Speedometer

All the new 67 Nova speedometers I found have a slot in the face under the 20 MPH number. Classic Ind. says it's possible it's for a high beam light?! It's just a slot through the face under the 20....
