Re: Too low

That is an awesome story with Don Garlits Dave, the front end is all tubular now. I'll post another picture when I get the car up, and a wheel off later.

Re: Too low

Finally able to work on the Nova again, and work on the ride height. I changed out one set of coil over shock springs, and got a good amount of change, but it's extending the shock too much. The...

Re: Too low

There are about 3" of shock body threads under the springs at this time total. That is the bottom of the spring with the adjuster included in the 3". Now the top of the shock is in the upper fender...

Too low

With the engine in, and on the ground the 350# coil over springs are too light. I have not scaled the car yet, so I''m just guessing, but have called Menscer performance, and ordered 400# springs for...

Re: What wires?

Thank you Carl, I was thinking the woven jacket was a resistor wire. Is the yellow wire(with the tag) ganged with the resistor the switched wire?

What wires?

I do not have a Fisher body manual for the Nova, and I'm wondering if these can be Identified? I'm not sure this is an original harness as well, the loom is taped all the way back to the bulkhead,...

Throttle pull arm

my 67 was a 6 cyl car, does it use the same pull bracket on the firewall for a V-8? I took mine off when the engine went in so I wouldn't bend it, it's going to be a challenge to get it back on, so...

Re: Mom's grocery getter 406

Kinda hard to hear though. Blueprint does not torque plate hone as part of their normal procedure. you would need to check on that information though, I feel it is an important step. My 572 is a Dart...

Re: Mom's grocery getter 406

The 406 has a 255/259 IIRC degrees of duration at .05, and has 550 lb ft of torque. My 572 makes 770 lb ft. Not sure what 502 you want, but the box ones are less than 600 hp. Just adding some...

Re: Mom's grocery getter 406

Ram, I WAS going to use a 3.5" stroke 402 BBC(I have the parts), but built this 406 646/550 combination. I would stay with the shorter stroke SBC as well, my machinist says you start getting more...
