Comments: What a find! This cool 66 Chevy II Super Sport is no ordinary Nova. This rare example is one of only 206 L-79 327/350 4 spd. cars built. Originally from Texas, this Nova has had the same owner for 36 yrs, until 2006 when it acquired owner # 2. Untouched up to this point, this Nova was in desperate in need of a complete restoration, additionally, the process was launched in May of 2002. On average new/old stock parts were used in restoring this black beauty. Rebuilt original #'s matching engine, rebuilt M-21 close ratio transmission, as well as a complete rebuild of the 12 bolt 3.73 Posi rear. Complete orig. drive train on this rare find. Mirror finish black, 2 stage paint is the best class of paint used on this Nova to bring it back to life. Restored and painted from the inside out, this piece of art is as meticulous under the carpet as it is out. Base coat, clear coat underside, with 60% gloss clear coat to award that factory look. Complete acid dip process, also epoxy primer was used through out. New/old stock GM full rear quarters. Leaded in the sail panels, to achieve that original factory process. New/old stock were used in both front fenders as well. Complete new date coded tinted glass. $7,000in bright work restoration alone. $8,015 in misc. parts and re chroming parts, $6,146 was spent on the engine over haul w/specs and receipts totally $2,687 on the orig. #'s matching trans. Labor, misc. parts and materials summed up a mere $70,345 body shop price tag. $2,000 was consumed to restore the original SS hub caps. The interior has a striking new factory appearance, restored instrument cluster, factory shifter, orig. knee knocker tach that was incredibly expensive to re chrome and restore. Factory radio plays and is completely restored as well. Under the hood is as pristine as it was in 1966. Correct air cleaner element, carb. intake etc. Highly detailed, complete new wiring through out with many more extras. Total cost with receipts consumed $105,193 on this rare example. Considered a #1 condition car for the savvy investor. Comes with an original title from TX, and orig. Protecto Plate. This documented true L-79 is in a class of it's own with a superior restoration, history, date codes, receipts and photos. This is one of the rarest cars you'll find with this fit and finish. Dyno sheet rates the engine at 402hp. Driven less than 400 miles since completed in 2004. Come see for yourself why this is a very special ride. call Jeff 603-627-5595 x203
