I have no speedometer cable in the car right now. I just had to purchase a new B+M turbo 400 callsic ind. tells me a factory replacement cable will not work. I need to know the thread size on the panel if there is one so I can possibly order a lokar cable. Thanks mark

Do you have a stock instrument panel or aftermarket? Stock I believe is a slip on with a retainer clip while aftermarket guages are typically threaded....
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition

The stock cable should fit the transmission; every GM car I have seen uses the same size threaded end. The dash end can be different, starting around 68 or 69 the dash connection was changed to a slip on from the earlier threaded style. If using an aftermarket speedometer with a threaded connection a cable from an earlier car will work. I am using a cable for a 67 Camaro in my Nova.
