Strange question here boy's. I have a 383 with RPM Air Gap intake. I am taking temp from front driver side of intake for SW guage. I'm taking elect fan sensor from pass. front. I now need the front pass. outlet for heater and plan on moving fan sensor to the rear of the intake. What temp difference would anyone think there would be from front to rear. Thanks
There are holes for sensors in the heads too. Front of intake IMO is the most accurate, next would be in the head on the drivers side (front of engine, factory location). I had a car with sensors in the intake and both heads and all the temps were within 5°. Electric fan switch was in the driver side head, Autometer gauge in the passenger side head (rear of engine) and the ECM and factory temp gauge were in the intake.
