Yes, all Novas from 1968-'79 have the same overall dimmensions. Only difference is in the number of spring leaves. All 12 bolts are multileaf, a 10 bolt is probably a mono leaf.
True but if it is a 12 bolt and sitting in the car odds are it will fit other Novas and first gen Camaros as all used the same size axel (different types, but all dimensionally the same as to width of spring perch, overall width). It could be a reworked 12 bolt out of a pick-up, but once it has been reworked it will bolt in place of others.
Hey greg if you do buy it let us know what type of 12 bolt it is(car,truck and what year). Or at least post the numbers so someone can figure it out. mark
2nd gen Camaro also had a 12 bolt and it will kinda bolt in, but not fit correctly. I have seen it done and it usually will sit off center to one side or the other. Check the numbers and dimensions before purchasing.
The spring perches on the '70 Camaro rear end are about 3 inches farther apart, so it will put the springs in a bind.
