Ok there is a update!!!

I got a call from the body shop yesterday around 11:00 he said the windshield is going to be installed at 2:00 and if I wanted to pick up the car today around 5:00 they will have it ready and detailed.: hurray:

Around 2:30-3:00 I get a call from the body shop with bad news they lost one of my windshield side moldings so they can't install the windshield and finish the car

They are trying to find it and if they haven't found it by Monday then I guess the search is on to find a replacement and have it restored.

I am not a calm patient guy (ask shifty4) but I'm doing everything to keep my cool and not freak out so a little venting here and there helps....

David it is not uncommon for some parts to get misplaced, I am sure they will find it.

I my garage there are numerous little bags of parts I can not find and it is slowing down the progress and I am only working on one car, not several like a shop does.

what makes me mad is the windshield was already installed and the car was done but I found a issue that made them pull the window out it was only out for 4 days he thinks the glass guy took it and the glass guy said nope. I stopped in there yesterday to look for it my self he said he tried a bunch of junk yards for a replacement and struck out. if he gave up on finding it already what am I suppose to think?

Dang Johnny, where am I supposed to find him a side molding????? geesh thanks for putting me on the spot buddy!

Don't worry Dave, just keep your cool and make them make it right. I don't know the glass guy would have taken the part. That doesn't make sense. Oh it's probably in his shop somewhere and maybe laying in one of the guys toolbox. Who knows! Hope they get you fixed up straight away!
