Wow, I love cars with a family history. Great insight your Dad had keeping the car ready for you if and when you got interested. Jack

It's funny, because my grandpa bought it in 1980 and dad bought it from him in Highschool which would have been 1981 or 82, and dad drove it from then until '96 pretty much everyday. He's made all kinds of memories driving it, and riding in it. He talks about how My grandpa done a burnout and left a hundred foot skid mark so perfect it looked like someone painted it on the road, and it stayed for years, how he got rearended when I was a baby and it trashed the truck that hit him, and didn't leave a mark on the car. How when he and Grandpa put a new windshield in it, and had trouble with a piece of trim they had a friend come to help, and their friend hit the trim with his fist and split the new window. My grandpa and grandma went off of a huge embankment and probably would have been killed if they hadn't of got slowed down by some trees. Dad had to do body work after that one. That's just to name a few of the stories. I remember Riding in it when I was 3 or 4. I remember riding with dad in 1996 towing it 50 miles in a 1986 Ford F-350 in pouring rain with an old tow bar. I remember getting it running after it sat in the brush behind my uncles barn for 8 years until '04. That's some of my experiences and I'm just 18, But the car is and always will be a part of my family.

Good history, I like it. At some point you may want a different ride, so park the beast because YOU WILL want it again someday. Most people I talk to seem to always wish they had a previously owned car back in the stable. I have a friend who has kept every car he ever owned including a 32 gangster split window Ford sedan and his first Nova. Here is a picture of that Nova (Now in his son's garage). It is a all original, numbers matching ride. This is a pic from a book on classic cars. He was attending a car show and someone asked if he could take a picture for a book. Jack
