Hey thank you for the pictures they were very help , couple of questions , i noticed the temp and oil gauge are like mine , were they sunpro gauges right out of the factory ?.....thats what mine are , also the steering whell i have a different sterring wheel , and it does say ss on it , were there differnt steering wheels to chose from , or was the one you have pretty much standard for the ss model .

Different steering wheels were included in different interior options. As you saw in Lou's pictures, the side louvers that everyone wants to put on 70 Nova's are missing. They were part of a style trim option and had to be ordered. They were not standard on every SS. Back in 1973 I bought a 70 Nova SS 396, 4 speed, factory 4.10 12 bolt car from the original owner with 6,000 miles (A lot of them 1/4 mile at a time). It had the louvers and the stainless trim around the windows. The interior was sparse. Rubber mats and bench seat. The original owner ordered it to race (Radio and heater delete). Not many people in upstate New York ordered cars without a heater if they intended to drive it everyday. I had to sell that car in 1976 and wish to this day that I hadn't. Don't let go of that car Lou!!

gauges are are dealer installed Stewart Warner (tach, water temp, oil press, tach died about 10 years ago replaced with cheap one). Salesman threw them in he said because I was a Viet Nam Army vet. Steering wheel was standard for black custom interior in SS models.
