Default Does this sound correct

I was looking up info on my Nova on the Nova resource cowl tag decoder page and I was wondering if the color combo sounds correct. It's a 1963 SS and it sais that the color was Ermine white with a Tuxedo black top and the interior is Aqua. Does that sound like a normal color combo?

There was no such thing as normal back then. Any combination of options were available by checking the right box on the order form. Not just COPO cars, but any ordered car by customer or dealer request. I worked at a Chevy dealer in the late 60's; one day a 69 C-10 arrived on the transport. It was black and orange with an Aqua interior. I bet the sales manager $20 it would not sell in a month. He won, that truck was on the front lot less than 2 days and someone just had to have it. His comment as I paid him "there is an ass for every seat".

Thanks for the info. I just thought that sounded like an odd color combo.

The color combo of your car doesn't sound bad. What color is it now?

The interior is still Aqua and the exterior is like a medium shade metallic blue. I will try to take some pictures of it tomorrow if it's not raining to bad.

That was ugly. Some of those color combos were horrible.

No it isn't, actually it looks really nice if you like green. It has been said before and for the most part seems to be true, that green cars last forever. I have seen quite a few green Chevelle's, Nova's and Impala's that had close to 400k miles on them and still ran and looked good.

IMO the light green probably was darker and has faded over the years. The brown arm rest had to be replaced, even GM wouldn't let one go that way.
