Default Cooling/Heater Core

I am building a mean 454 and I wanted to make sure do I really need a heater core! The Nova will only be driven between spring and fall! I will not have AC I removed it! I dont need the heater neither! I want to know if I could remove the heater core all together cause I would like to put custom gauges where the AC and Heater switches are!Can this be done?

You can do anything yopu want. The heater core is used to defrost windows when you are driving below 70 degrees and you have the windows rolledup. Your near 100 degree hot moist breath wiill condese on the front window preventing you from seeing what is in front of you. If you normally drive without looking out the windsheild (texting or admiring the scenery out the drivers side window while driving), it won't matter.

Take it all out! Use the 12 v heater if you need a defroster, and use those windows if you are hot!

Anything can be done, it just depends on how much money and time you want to sink into it!!!
