Default 73 nova driveshaft length

I am in the market to find a driveshaft for my 73 nova. I have a th350 and a 10 bolt rear end. I have measured with an old yolk and I pulled it out one inch and measured from the center of the u-joint to the flat tab of the read end. It measures 52 1/2 inches. I was told a first gen camaro driveshaft would fit it. I found out that this was not true, I read that a 73 chevelle driveshaft would fit, anyways I have read and read and I have found any one mentioning a drive shaft that measured 52 inches. Any suggestions before I have one cut?

You didn't read that a first generation Camaro drive shaft would fit here I hope. The Camaro and Nova share a lot of parts but the drive shaft isn't one of them as a Nova has a useable back seat and the Camaro only has a place to carry groceries and beer due to the difference in wheel base.

A 1972-'75 drive shaft should be identified by a Hollander number of 1206.
It interchqanges with:
Apollo 1973-'74 6 cly
Apollo 1975 250-6 cly
Apollo 1975 8 cly 260
Nova 1972-'75
Nova 1977-'79 6 Cyl (only those with an 8.5" rear axel)
Nova 1977-'79 8 Cyl
Omega 1973-'74
Omega 1975 250-6 cly
Omega 1975 8 cly 260
Omega 1977 AT 350 V-8
Omega 1977 3 spd MT 350 V-8
Omega 1978 AT 350 V-8
Omega 1978 4 spd MT 350 V-8
Omega 1979 AT 350 V-8
Omega 1979 4 spd MT 350 V-8
Phoenix 1975 V-8 260
Phoenix 1977-'79 V-8 305, and 350 V8
Skylark 1975 V-8 260
Skylark 1977-'79 V-8 305, and 350 V8
Ventura II 1972-'74
Ventura II 1977 350 V8

Please note there are no A-bodies, G-bodies, B-bodies, or F-bodies that it will interchange with.

Thanks for the info, I never would have thought that getting a driveshaft would be such a pain for this model car. I was getting so frustarted I about traded it for a 63 nova.

Some of the early disco Novas with 305 motors had 7.5" rear axles, which used a longer shaft than the cars with the 8.5" rears. Due to sloppy tolerances, sometimes you'll find one that will bolt in, but be sure it's not sticking too far into the back of the transmission.
