I can't understand why this section is so dead. Here is a wagon that used to belong to my ex and I have taken possession of. I want to hear soom suggestions. What should I do with it? Let me say it is going to remain a 6 cyl. due to the factory A/C. Let's hear your suggestions.

I would assume it is because very few of these cars probably still exist or are even wanted. How many Nova station wagons do you see in comparison to any other car on the road new or old, or in compariosn at car shows?

Wow! I said that tongue in cheek . I wasn't expecting quite such a response. Maybe the wagon crowd isn't as large here as on some other sites, but I figured since wagons and 4 doors have their own catagory that they must be popular enough.

I suspect we have fewer than a hundred members with a wagon from having watched folks signing on over the years. Doesn't mean they are of lesser value or less appreciated in competition (they own the lower super stock classes) or in car shows.

Curious about the remark about only the A/C holding you back from a V-8 conversion. You know they make new hose and sell A/C brackets for the SBC don't you?

i think you should either fix your wagon as it'd suit your tastes... or sell it Barry... simple as that ;)

I wish i had a picture of mine before the paint and interior work so you could see it.From the looks of yours it is far from a POS.Do take plenty of pics before you start your build or you will regret it.
What are yor plans with yours ;Paint, wheels,Engine, etc.?Keep us update on the progress.

Thanks for the compliment, here's a link to pics the way I got it!.. Plans are for a driver not a show piece just a clean reliable driver, will be putting a lot of miles on it!.. Putting a whole complete new front end under it, keeping the inline 6 for mileage, replacing the Powerslide with a 700R. Paint will be all red without all the chrome crap, not sure on the wheels yet, kinda old school on that so I'm thinking Centerlines but that's down the road right now!.. Got all the parts ordered for the front end and should be here in a week or so, I'll start a thread on it when it arrives, right now I have it all apart and cleaning it up so it will be ready when the stuff gets here!..

The old school idea sounds good to me.Maybe some 15" steelies with your Dog Dish Caps?If you decide to go Red on Red it looks like you won't need much interior work.I have a Nova Catalog at home that has all the correct interior pieces for the wagon including the cargo area.(Rear cargo panels, wheel well covers, etc.if you are needing these pieces.

Yeah, I thought about going with steelies also that's kinda cool!.. The interior is new except for door panels and a few odds and ends, but I do need all the window/door rubber all the way around, who is your catalog by do they have a web site??, been looking and kinda hard to find stuff for a wagon??... Thanks!..

for wagon weatherstripping the best place to go (in my opinion) is to the guy responsible for the reproduction of many of the Stationwagon parts... many other ChevyII parts too for that matter... here's his name and contact info, tell him "Johnny the Flyer" sent you...

Big Dave

Big Dave, I like my cars to be a bit different and somewhat unique. It seems most everyone is doing a V-8 conversion these days. Since it has A/C, it would be easy and somewhat different, to keep the inline 6.
