What would you guys think this is worth, it is a GREAT running car with an L6 in it, 1963 chevy nova 4 dr. To top it all off this car has NO rust anywhere and in oregon that makes this thing a rare find what would you guys price it at great daily driver, just needs cleaned up some in my opinion with some interior work but as is just give me a guestimate, i know it's hard to tell from pictures specially the ones i gave thanks team!

well all one has to do is to go to Craigslist and they can find it on their own... just like i did in about 30 seconds of looking

i'd say it's worth the asking price ;)

i'd say if you have the cash, this one is better: http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/1132739179.html

might be a tad over double what the other one is but it's a 2 door so the resale value will be higher and it's a more popular of a car than the 4 door.

sigh i knew you where to wise! i looked at that one to but don't have the cash right now, i could take a small loan but find it wiser to buy a car i have the actual cash for ya know, i would love a 2 door, i am planning on buying this 4 door driving and enjoying it for a couple weeks while i clean and scrub the hell out of it buff up the paint the make it more shinny, clean up and spray the engine bay. Maybe buy a few cheap parts and hopefully sell it for around 2,500 rust free cars are a good find in oregon so i am thinking this is achievable but don't know the value of cars very well specially 4 doors.... So young johny what do you think of my plan?

It looks like to me that there is actually some moisture build up somewhere with that car. The one photo looks like the front seat has mold or mildew growing on it?? Being an OR car I would look at all the common rust areas to see if there isnt some hidden repair. Have you actually seen this car or just photos and talking to the owner? A seller isnt always forth coming with info and will tend to paint the car in a much better light. I lived in OR most of my growing up years and rust was common on new cars still sitting at the lot so I would look very deep and take a magnet with you.

OH Man, have you seen this one ? http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/1131208676.html

two cars ! one a Vert to work on and a 4dr parts car. might check it out. ;)

i think you'd be OK. i'd look at it REAL GOOD. make sure there's NO rust and that it runs, brakes and the suspension is Ok. keep the investment low so you could turn it (that's what i'd do)... off it after some clean up and go bigger & better on the next one until you get the body style you want.

BUT, don't get anxious or let the excitement get to ya, stay calm and un-involved so to speak... keep it as an investment plan if that's the ultimate goal. you don't want to buy low and then invest anything really that'd cut down on resale profits.

oh i know, if anything for investment it will be some new seals and spray paint, but probably just some good old elbow grease, it is hard to decide if i want to do buy this car or just do some suspension work on my 71 that is my favorite body style but if this is easy money then i thought why not then i have more money to put into my 71 right? hmmmm i feel so bi-polar when it comes to cars:D:D:D i mean 1,500 on my nova could do ALOT and i would hate to get stuck with this thing for months and months with the bad economy right now.... so it is a tough choice. It is either buy this car and hope for a good turn around of put about 1,500 into my 71's suspension maybe even a new trans.... what does the car god shifty my ultimate dream mentor think?

oh crimminey, don't lay this on me... i have enough complexes to worry about !!! ;)

well... think REAL hard about where you live, do you have room to have both cars. regardless of what anyone says, a used car will take money. it's a fact. so don't think for a second that if you invest the $1500 that'd be all you spend. regestration, license, taxes etc will be minimal, plus there will be "clean up" investment so keep EVERYTHING in the front of your mind when you look at it. try and see the ultimate "Big Picture" and the end of the road on it and try to think... "how much will it be worth and what will my profit be" if you come to realize that after all your hard work etc you only will be ahead a couple/few hundred bucks... will that be worth it ?

a 4 door car is not nor ever will be a car that is sought after like a 2 door car is so that's a big thing to remember.

personally i'd never spend over 2500.00 for that car even if it was cleaned up... just because it's a 4 door.

i'm not baggin' on 'em, they're fine, but a 2 door is a 2 door.

oh i think it's worth the $1500.00 but as a money-maker, it'll be a minimal gain.

as always, just my opinion so take that as you will ;)
