Wow that is not much of a road you were on
Still appears a shorter handle may be needed, but the knob is way cool.

Ok my advice is this... A shorter shifter handle and keep your foot off the clutch pedal when your not using it, that is a bad bad habit to get into:thumbsup:
just my 2 cents:D

okay so my foot was near the clutch but not on it the entire time!!!!I am just learning:yes:I think i like the shifter longer cuz it isnt hitting me in the leg...and it looks really cool -seriously we tried shorter shifters and they just didnt work out right.I was smiling cuz it was time to drive the nova...my nova without any kids , on a back road!:hurray:really cool:beers:

congrats
no one's raggin' ya 'bout the foot on the pedal but if yer learnin' then in the long run it'd be best to get used to it doin' it the proper way ;)
leaving your foot on the pedal permits the T/O bearing to stay in contact with the clutch fingers which promotes wear. so if ya get used to removing yer foot you'll find you get longer clutch life  as far as the shifter, that's fine... get used to it as-is but later on when yer really comfy runnin' through the gears, have Jon unbolt that handle and replace it with a shorter handle... you'll find yourself shifting quicker and smoother due to the shorter handle ;)
remember, we're not raggin' ya, just tryin' ta get ya used ta bein' a "ShiftyGurl" :D
i'm happy ta hear yer enjoyin' yer ride ;)
