Hello all,

I'm starting in on my interior, for my 63 wagon, and I have a basic carpeting question. I have a complete molded carpet kit, including sound dampening panels. Right now the interior is pretty well gutted, and what I'm wondering, is there anything else besides the door sill plates that really hold the carpet down on the edges? Especially around the doors. I mean, I figured that the carpet will sort of tuck under the various other interior peices, i.e. the kick panels and stuff. I'm just wondering if there's any other pieces I'm missing... any help?

yup, the sill plates are it to the best of my knowledge ;)

the front section is held at the top by the rubber strip at the bottom of the firewall pad (now probably hard as a rock & brittle) the front of the rear section is underneath the front section and the rear of the rear section is held in place by the lower section of the back seat. the sides are held in by the sill plates at the doors, kick panels in front of the doors...

If it is a molded carpet, you should be all set with the sill plates, seat belts, and seats to hold it in place.
