hello fellow novahalics!, well, like the title says i'm new. my name is chris, i'm a machinist from A.Z. i have a 65' two door non post car, whom i'm the second owner of. the orginal owner purchased the nova from a california dealership. the car came with a shoe box full of receipts, general maintinance, and a letter from the general manager dated june 17th 1965. it is the original 230 straight 6 with the two speed power glide. not exactly the fastest car i've driven, but with gas prices being so high.... i'm glad its a straight 6! anyways, the car is white with teal interior, and it has the torque thrust II's, everything else is original. oh, great site!!!!

Welcome to the fold.

You have got a great car to start with. I wouldn't let the price of gas determine your cars ultimate fate. (I foresee a Nova SS 327/365hp in your future; either that, or I've got my wife's old cocoa cup, and those aren't tea leaves on the bottom.)

Sounds like you have a good car their! Welcome to the site. I would keep it the way it is. After I get done with my 72 SS Hot Rod I'm going to look for a first gen Nova and try to set it up with the little 4 cylinder they used to come with. Then I'll start project gas sipper. Basically I want to try to make it as fuel efficeint as possible, but keep enough power to drive it.

thanks for the welcome guys.... when i first got the car my father had built a 327 for it, but before we put it in we came across a 69' sr/ss camaro. its an original 396/350, air, car. the color is daytona yellow with yellow hounds tooth interior. it is the d-80 delete:(. o-well, no wing or spioler..... the car is in the process of being restored. infact i have to go now to have the front end put back on it........ so i'll chat at ya later.
thanks again for the compliments, and suggestions(sp).
