im trying to figure out all this stuff on how to put this rod with gears on one end,from the ignition lock switch to the ignition switch under the dash and also what is that rod called/all i have is :rodw/gears ,ignition switch,ignition lock switch/thanks:)

come on guys do you got anything i think there is a little gear thats on the other end of the lock switch that meets with the gears on the rod/the main thing that i like to know is what that rod called and the gear on the ignition.

this is the pic of the switch the rod goes into the circled part to activate everything/and the red is what the rod looks like

The rod end should have a 90 degree bend and fin in that slot. The screws holding the switch are a little big so you can adjust the nuteral saftey.

found it but i still like to know how it hooks up to the key lock cylinder and whats its call :)

Your best bet is to find a assembly manual for your year car. It'll be the best money you spend, I'm sure.

i like to give the closure on this i had my friend john come over and look at it every thing was right my only problem was...the switch was upside down:clonk: i goin to put it together this week end/dont you hate it when something simple stumpes you for so long
