NOVACA1N Jul 5th, 06, 10:00 PM anyone??? strtlegal Jul 6th, 06, 01:10 AM i like solid black..it would look like the car the advertise in the forsale forum on this site..i think it looks good..im so sick of seeing stripes on cars i could spit..but thats me Novafan Jul 6th, 06, 02:23 AM Thought I had pictures of Silver/black. I'll keep looking. The black car has silver stripes. Sorry about the pic. sizes. I'll figure that out next! http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h293/66ssfan/Bremerton%20Drags/Drags070.jpg http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h293/66ssfan/Bremerton%20Drags/Drags096.jpg NovatoriusRex Jul 6th, 06, 12:22 PM As far as livability and maintainability of the paint job, I think Blue is a better bet and it's easier to keep it looking good. I'm with the others who are a bit tired of SS stripes. Gloryhound Jul 6th, 06, 12:43 PM I would have to go with Blue also. Black is so over used that it isn't funny. Also if your car is a true SS (proven or not) then by all means put the SS stripes on it. If it isn't a true SS I wouldn't do it, I'm tired of everyone cloning the SS's, RS's, Yenko's, and Balwin motion cars. You go to a car show and all you see is a line of SS clones. I can understand people who always wanted one of the rare cars, but not being able to afford a true one doing it for a car they drive, but if it wasn't part of your dream leave it out and blow the doors off the cloned cars with your true, one of a kind, personalized Hot Rod! skullboy Jul 6th, 06, 07:07 PM Gotta go black.Just add flames and you will be set.:beers: NOVACA1N Jul 6th, 06, 08:17 PM I would have to go with Blue also. It's originally a 307/TH350 car, and was Classic Copper with a Brown Vinyl top and light sandalwood interior. It's currently banana yellow(puke) with black interior. The black interior is staying, but I HATE yellow, so I gotta change that. My brother is saying blue as well. No, I'm not making it an SS clone. It may have the SS trim panel and/or front grill emblem, because I like the look, but I'm not putting SS396 wheels and an SS steering wheels etc. on it. Thanks for all the replies, and keep 'em coming:thumbsup: SS 396 Jul 6th, 06, 08:36 PM I would have to go with Blue also. Black is so over used that it isn't funny. Did True SS Nova's have SS Stripe's? Philip Jul 6th, 06, 11:50 PM Paint it white. 68chevyll Jul 27th, 06, 04:05 PM Black! All the way! Not just cuz my car is black. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d180/Bad68Nova_/100_01482.jpg http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d180/Bad68Nova_/100_0149-1.jpg 1quik69 Jul 28th, 06, 01:32 AM Hey 68 chevy ll, are my eyes really getting bad or are the yenko stripes missing on the pictures you posted of your car? 68chevyll Jul 29th, 06, 04:52 PM Yup these pics are before the stripes. I'm debating whether or not to remove the stripes. What do you think? 1quik69 Jul 29th, 06, 09:26 PM 68 chevy ll, I like it better with the Yenko stripes on it. The stripes leap out at you and say look at me. The car looks good without them also, but I think the stripes just make it stand out. Yours is the only Black Nova that I have seen with the Yenko stripes and it really caught my eye the first time I saw the picture. NIGHTSHADE Sep 17th, 06, 11:40 AM Black and silver would be awsome!!! CDJr Sep 17th, 06, 01:45 PM Canary Yellow  Maybe even with black stripes. a2race Sep 20th, 06, 12:24 AM why not tripoli turquiose??? that has more blue than green, but is a KILLER color thats not seen very much......adam chevynuts Sep 22nd, 06, 09:48 AM Leave the Yenko stripes there cool! 72GreenRally Sep 22nd, 06, 07:34 PM Can I vote for ham twice?? I am close enough to Oakland that EVERYTHING around here is painted black and silver, so I am not impressed at all when I see a black and silver car. A black car looks awesome, but it requires a lot of work to keep it looking good. Ham. Now there is a good color!!!! Unique!!! burningsquirrels Sep 23rd, 06, 03:50 PM i like ham. 450HP Sep 30th, 06, 09:27 AM I like black with silver stripes... Course with a silver car, you could go with dark pewter stripes... Or black with dark pewter stripes... Or dark pewter with silver or black stripes... Or... :D Scott earthquake77 Oct 26th, 06, 02:09 PM Brilliant blue metalic is a mopar color but looks very nice on Novas. If you ever saw a 90's Durango that was REALLY blue, that's the color. It's my favorite blue ever made. I do alot of flames in that color that fade into violet pearl. Come to think of it. those flames over black look sharp as hell. |
