Hi Nova Dudes

I have a 73 racecar project (coupe non-hatchback) with a rusty trunk pan. I am converting the rear taillight panel to the 68-9 panel and I now need to order a trunk pan. Will a 68-9 trunk pan weld in place of my 73? I am also going with a fuel cell and a 68-9 bumper.

Thanks!

Wes, I have searched the web countless hours trying to find a trunk patch for my 73. If you find out the earlier patches work, let me know. robertsons@bresnan.net

The rear frame rails are the same as well as the drop offs and extensions. Since you are using a fuel cell and not a stock gas tank it should fit in with little to no modifications. The big issue is you can not lay the new pan over the old to get a feel for where to cut. You will have to play with it and take your time.

If you need a patch panel the 4th gen trunk pan is the same as the 73-74. A buddy just cut the one out of my 4 door parts car for his 73 hatchback.
