What are your ultimate goals for the car? How do you want to drive it? Cruiser, Road Race/Auto-X or Drag Racer?

I think I would keep the factory floor pans and clean up your existing ones. POR 15 in your favorite color and never worry about them again. Most people who replace floor pans have Swiss cheese with holes you can drop a leg through, not a little surface rust. Any small holes (pin holes) could be brazed shut. Holes up to about a 1/4" in diameter could be welded shut. From your photos that looks like virtually a rust free car. Quite a find.

yeah but whoever put the existing floor pans in the car got them all bent up and the passenger side floor has some bad rust. so im just going to replace them and start fresh

I'm confused! You posted in the pro-touring section but it sounds like you want to build a pro-street car!

going out on a limb here but i imagine John was only commenting as he did because the protouring guys will look in that forum for threads where the racer guys might post in the performance forum... i'm sure he didn't mean to offend you. we all try to get a long with each other and help out whenever we can... let's all try to be understanding and not take things the wrong way ;)

best of luck to ya, looks like a pretty solid car.

What kind of heads and cam are you running in the new motor? Its not gonna be cheap to get 500 rwhp out of a 350

key word... not HP but "RWHP"

that'll be quite a healthy engine. will it be dyno'd ?

im actually not sure, i bought the engine from the guy who won the Winston 1 million drag racing comp. last year.

the only thing that i have to add to the engine it the Carb. (Holly 750 no choke race carb) and the Hooker headers.
