After a year of trying I finally got in touch with the previous owner of my 72. He lives 45 minutes south of me and had taken my Nova to Beach Bend Raceway after he had it built. He turned out a best time of 13.9 @ 102mph with headers capped(for some reason?). Not too bad for what's under the hood. hpg

I live too far away from a strip and don't own a trailor. Even if I did I doubt my reaction time to the lights would as good as his. He's several years younger and pounds lighter than I am. haha

But just knowing what it's capable of is good enough for me. hpg
