Just got back from the track and had a fantastic time. In my 66 Nova with a 350 sbc, 700R4 and 9 inch Ford 3.90 my best run was a .027 R/T, 2.000 60 foot, 13.39 seconds at 101.55 mph. I am hooked.

Good showing for your first time. With practice those numbers will get better. Then you will need to modify the car so it can turn lower ET's, then your bank account will slowly dwindle and then.....you will be really hooked :D

Depending on how hard you get hooked the bank account may go down a lot faster than you really want. Good luck I love those early Novas (have 2)

I hosted a video at photobucket. Here is a different run in motion. I like this sport.

Hi JR, How are you doing? When I got the car I didn't get the cam card but the guy told me it was quite a radical street cam from Comp. This thing shakes and rocks at idle alot, in fact the antenna shakes about 3/4 inch at the stoplight in drive. Sorry I could not be more help. Line-lock, yes. It's the only way to do a burnout without killing the rear brakes. Racing is fun.

Myself an 49 of my closest friends paid 50 dollars a head to grudge race for the day at the track in Union Grove Wisconsin. They had a bracket race but I did not participate in that. I basically went for times but did get to race some comparable cars and I won about half of the time. I suprised myself on how well the car ran.
One thing that came to light for me during this event was the fact that car shows seem boring compared to racing. Walking around and looking at cars at a show is like watching a sport on TV/napping. Granted it is definately cheaper, but racing I guess now that I've done it, is why I got my car. Oh Baby was it fun.
