A friend of mine have a original, 68,000 miles, 1972 Nova and this car has a plastic or rubber apron or air damm below the front bumper attach with screws to the front chassis cross member. It's a very rare detail and I can find it in any catalog, someone here know where I can find a piece like that? thanks in advance for any info

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but here's one type on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42611&item=4621272125

Does your friend's 72 have air conditioning? Chevy put an air deflector on the bottom of the front end, from under the core support to the front cross-member. It is rare for a car to still one, but they weren't that uncommon from the factory.

If I could find a picture, I would post it.

A few high curbs is all it took to remove most of the air dam from the car. I have seen a few broken ones , but no surviviors.

Check for applications on the other X bodies ie: Olds, Buick and Pontiac. These cars usually sold for a higher price and had more detail items standard.
