My 65 Chevy II Radiator core is 22" wide and a Flex-a-lite 160 Black Magic S-Blade electric cooling fan with shroud included is 18" wide. That gives me 2 inches NOT COVERED on either side of the core. Will that be a problem for my 283 engine @ 275 HP...? The S-Blade is supposed to be the quietest fan of all electric fans and it also has the biggest shroud with it but WILL NOT cover the entire radiator..
Does anyone see a problem with that.....?

what about adding to the shroud to block the area off... is that possible ? if not i really don't think it'd present an issue as long as the fan(s) are pulling sufficient CFM ;)

i find the best fans are out of a ford or mercury from a junkyard. i got a dual fan in great shape from a mercury sable 24valve dohc, its thin and flows 4500 cfm. only cost me 40 bucks
