Hey guys, A friend of mine is looking at a 72 Nova thats an unfinished race car project. It has a full cage that very nicely done with side swingout bars. The upper bars of the cage are tight to the roof and the forward bars go thru the dash not in front of it very nicely done and out of site. It also has two full forward bars that go thru the firewall to the subframe, again....nicely done. The body work has already been done and It has two new full quarters and one new door skin. The other door is rust free as are the fenders. The floor and trunk are nice also. The car is completely taken apart and comes with a ton of parts in boxes. The car is a roller that needs paint and assembly.......Any Ideas on its current value ????
Thanks for your input........

Hey Brian, Its one of those "make me an offer" deals. The guys been building the car for years and obviously needs to cash out. I'm thinking 3-4k tops but dont really know the Nova market very well. The thing I really like about this car is it could make a cool street/pro-touring car with the swingout bars. Its not a cut up piece.
Thanks....

Bob, no it not make me an offer deal You say 3-4 grand tops, and that may be a fair number to offer. Since we dont have a picture(s) of the car it is very difficult to guestimate a price.
The reason why i asked you what you are willing to offer is because, the car is only worth what you are willing to pay for it. 3K-4K is a very good price assuming it is exactly as you described the car.
Yes it would make a nice street or pro street style car, or if your into the touring types it would make a nice ride there as well.

About a year ago I bought a old Nostalgia dragcar from the late 70's.All original sheetmetal, factory tinted glass, brite work around side windows and lower rocker trim.Full tubb with multi leaf, dana 60,old lakewood bars with J bolts, frame connectors, drive shaft loop, old hurst line locks,Original GM front disc,Vintage Spun aluminum Satin finish solid backs Centerline Superrtricks,Fuel cell in trunk,2 battery mounts in trunk.Car has a roll cage with swing out bars and cage does not go thru dash.Original Dash still in car.Original 4spd car.Original door panels and headliner. Still has cowel tag and vin plate on car.Anyway its originally a Dark brown car painted black and is a true SS car because it has the "K" code in the vin.I paid $7500.00 for this car as a roller.Very solid car, came from Alabama years ago.Hope that helps your pricing.....
