View Full Version : Question from a dummy (3 speed).
NIGHTSHADE May 7th, 06, 03:54 PM I've always used Automatic trannys so I am an Idiot when it comes to manual T's.
I just took the 3speed out of my 62 and one section came out in pieces. It attaches to the flywheel and looks like it has (had) little dick brake pads on it. The center section is cogged and goes to the input shaft and the outer cover bolts to the flywheel.
The heavy metal disk came out in 3 pieces also.
What is it?? So that I can start on my search for another!!!!
SS 396 May 7th, 06, 04:14 PM Usually you just have a Flywheel,Clutch Disk and Pressure Plate.That probally only has a 9.25 inch

No matter, the Boss has spoken and she wants an automatic in it. So the 3speed will end up in the recycle box or on Ebay.
