Anyone notice how Poorly Nova's do on Pinks?

I like pinks but makes you wonder how real it is.....have to have a big set to risk losing your car.

The guy from Kilgore with the nova got the shaft. I think he was fighting a losing battle from the start. when someone has two seconds to play with there is no way he could have won.

A Tubbed Nova with a 555 engine only being a 10 Second Car is not Good.

I believe the camaro guy asked the owner of the Nova if his car was bored out to 555 the owner nodded no. Regardless, that show is kind os stupid as far as give me 10 lenghts. Don't these idiots know that you are supposed to bring a fast car to race. I say if you lose the first race heads up you lose your car. There would be less b.s. on that show and more people crying because they got their rear's handed to them.

I always wondered about this. It start well past the normal launch area are they letting them use track bite that far out. Most of the time the forward cars are well past the trackbite and built up rubber. Looks to me like the cars lengths could be a disadvanatge.

Well dont no about Track Bite but do no that Nova was a Turd.And I would say the Same thing at my hometown Track.Not trying to be Offensive but Pinks and the people bringing Nova's there are Making Nova's as RACE Cars look BAD.

No a Nova or Chevy II has never won.Funny thing,Miller Racing Built the 68 that Trevon TORE UP.For what it was that Nova was a SLUG.Now Miller Racing built the Camaro that Smoked that Nova Last night and in all honesty the Camaro seemed to run Good for what it was.

I havent watched this show at all but I have read many threads on it...and it seems to me that they are screwing with the Nova's so that they dont win...I mean in real life with all things being equal the Nova should kick butt as power to weight is where its at..and the Nova has that in spades compaired to Camaros, Chevelles, etc, etc...Something smells fishy to me.

They are filming four episodes of Pinks in Gainesville in two weeks. I think I'll pop out there and see if the real deal is as stupid as the show. They are filming on a regular racing day and the track website said that normal runs will continue between show tapings and show runs. I also read that the host of the show knows absolutely squat about cars.

Rich doesn't know much, and he's admitted to it. That's why season2 got tech guys on either team to try and cut down on the BS time

I'll be in Gainesville racing in 2 weeks so hopefully we'll catch some of the BS session as well. I know a few locals that signed up so we'll see who gets picked.
