Thanks :D 72GreenRally May 2nd, 06, 09:57 PM They're just the rubber pieces, right Johnny? You use some 3M weatherstrip adhesive to glue them in. Randy (not too much though!);) SHIFTY4 May 2nd, 06, 10:00 PM they're the channels the window rides in... the factory channels have "nubs" that fit into a hole... the new/replacement don't have the "nubs" "RICH" fron "over there" told me a while back... but i ferget  :D 72GreenRally May 2nd, 06, 10:02 PM John, that is why you are supposed to WRITE IT DOWN!!!! Randy (I know, ya ferget that too!!) SHIFTY4 May 2nd, 06, 10:03 PM i can read, but i dunno how ta write  SS 396 May 2nd, 06, 10:08 PM John, 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive Holds Very Well. Joe SS 396 May 2nd, 06, 10:10 PM You could also use Window Urethane, but it would be a Problem if you had to get into it later. Joe SHIFTY4 May 2nd, 06, 10:10 PM 10-4 thanks for the confirmation Joe... thanks ta "Walt" also ;) (that's Randy ta those who dunno) ;) SHIFTY4 May 2nd, 06, 10:11 PM i'll use the 3M ;) thanks again Joe :D NIGHTSHADE May 5th, 06, 09:43 AM Make sure you dont get any on your fingers, otherwist we'll have to read this all day. sksksksksksksksksksksksksksksksksksksksksksksksksk SHIFTY4 May 5th, 06, 05:28 PM Hey Guys, what have ya done on yer side glass ??? i'm thinking of running to a glass shop and having them hook me up with new stuff... it's flat so i figgered it'd be somewhat inexpensive (inexpensive, what's that ???) where do ya get yours and do ya have an idea on cost ??? Thanks :D #269 lynnj May 6th, 06, 10:18 PM Hey Guys, what have ya done on yer side glass ??? i'm thinking of running to a glass shop and having them hook me up with new stuff... it's flat so i figgered it'd be somewhat inexpensive (inexpensive, what's that ???) where do ya get yours and do ya have an idea on cost ??? Thanks :D #269 I took my old glasses from my '66 Sedan to a local glass shop and had new ones (with a light charcoal tint) cut. Both quarter glasses, door glasses and vent glasses was between $200 and $300. I can't remember exactly how much. Lynn SHIFTY4 May 6th, 06, 10:27 PM Thanks Lynn, that sounds reasonable ta me... hopefully my shops are in line with yours... i was thinking about getting my wiring harness, maybe i'll scoot to the glass shop instead.. hey Lynn... did you install all yer window channel stuff yerself ??? any tips you could share ??? appreciate it, fer glass and channel info ;) lynnj May 6th, 06, 10:43 PM Yeah, I installed mine. I used 3M black adhesive. I think the part # is 08011. I shaped the new channel and then put the glue on and rolled the window up tight to hold it in place while it set up. I finished the car this past December and so far no problems. It wasn't too much of a job. If I can be of further help, just let me know. Lynn SHIFTY4 May 6th, 06, 10:45 PM Thanks Lynn... sounds easy enough i guess i'd get ragged if i didn't try... i think i'll have ta give 'r a whirl ;) appreciate the help and i take confidence in yer words... Thanks :D |
