I need to know what electric fan or fans will fit a 70 Nova BBC 496 with a long water pump? I have a Griffin radiator which measures 3" from the support which seems to give me about 2.5" of space to the water pump? Am I missing something or can I not install an electric fan like the mk 8 or any other over 2" thick? If you are running a BBC in a 68 thru 72 Nova with the long water pump please tell me what fan you are using. Pictures and suggestions would be great. Also anyone use the flex-a-lite nylon flex fans rated to 8000 rpm. Thanks!

P.S. I am trying to get this thing going before the end of summer after 4 years of work and any help is appreciated!

I used a ford tarus HO electric fan to cool my 406 powered s-10 blazer. They are very slim and you can find them in the junkyard. it kept my temp at 180* with the stock 6cyl radiator, and im not sure of the exact power but i ran 11.7's with it and it weighed 3380 lbs. Do a search about that fan, youll be suprised how many people use it.
