68chevyll May 1st, 06, 08:18 PM Got the Hoosiers on. They are 1" wider than my ET Streets. The Hoosiers are Quick time Pros 28x11.5/15 ET Streets were the same but 1" less tread. Check em out. Later.

68chevyll May 1st, 06, 08:33 PM There's no way these would fit with an 8" rim on my car. Did you run a Hoosier Quick time pro?
SS 396 May 1st, 06, 08:43 PM Mark,
I had those once and I had McCreary DOT's.
What Backspace is on your 7's?This is Joe,I bought the Coverter and Headers from you.I have ran 10 inch tires on 8 inch wheels on Many 68-72 Nova's.They are Tight.
Joe
SS 396 May 1st, 06, 08:45 PM Looking at the Front of that Wheel I am thinking 4.5 Backspace.
Joe
68chevyll May 1st, 06, 08:49 PM Yo what's up dude. Yes they are 4.5 and you see how tight they are. An 8" will never fit. Even with a 5.5" bs. All I have inside is about a 1/2". Well I'm happy with thw way they look anyhow. I always wondered why the Mickey's are only a 9" tread. Later.

SS 396 May 1st, 06, 08:54 PM Mark,
That is what I use 5.5 Back Space.I dont move the Shocks in unless I am going Wider. What are your Tires close to on the Inside?I had to do some Minor work.Biggest Problem was the 3" Tail Pipes.
68chevyll May 1st, 06, 08:58 PM Tehe inner wheel well at the frame.
SS 396 May 1st, 06, 09:25 PM Mark,
Not to change the Subject but, does your Car have A/M 1/4 Panels or Patches?

Joe,
Any problem with the draglites and 5-1/2 spacing. Just ordered Hoosiers new DOT drag radial in a 275/60-15 and they are in. I am running 15 x 8 x 5-1/2 BS on my '72. Also have 4-1/2 BS if needed, but I think I would rub the outside.

Nova Jun 2nd, 06, 10:09 AM So you guys have fit a 15x8 with a 275/60/15 with 5.5 back spacing with no rubbing??? I want to run the widest tire I can, but I dont want to buy somthing that doesn't fit. I've heard 275/60/15 on 15x7 with 4.5 b/s fits.
